CBHFA works to reduce the number of deaths, illnesses, injuries, and impact from diseases, public health emergencies, and disasters. We enable target communities to become safer, healthier, and more resilient by taking the CBHFA in action approach. MRCS also strengthens its own capacity at all levels to facilitate and support the implementation of the CBHFA program. This project includes implementing the following:
- Sensitization and advocacy on CBHFA for different sectors
- Training for facilitators
- Organization of committees
- Initial community assessment
- Identification of priority areas and training of volunteer leaders
- Promotion of humanitarian values incorporated in training
- Start of community-initiated resource mobilization
- Conduct household visits and health education
- Reporting and coordination with the Ministry of Health
