The Myanmar Red Cross Society has one of the strongest Logistics units operating in the country today. Established after Cyclone Nargis in 2008, the unit’s main tasks include providing support to operations, distribution of emergency relief items, and providing support from relief to program recovery during later stages. The logistics team arranges all of the Society’s transportation, supply, and response needs, and is able to reach the hardest-hit disasters effectively when most other organizations cannot.
