MRCS-UNHCR Projects

The Myanmar Red Cross and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) have been working together since 1995 to protect some of Myanmar’s most vulnerable populations.  These persons of concern (as labeled by UNHCR) are, for reasons beyond their control, separated from their homes and require the assistance of outside agencies to aid them in their daily lives.  In Myanmar, our efforts with UNHCR are located along the eastern and western borders of the country, where vulnerable populations exist in great numbers.
